ASHA
Funding: Brisbane North Primary Health Network
ASHA is a mental health outreach program for young people aged 12 to 25 residing in Moreton Bay North who are experiencing or at risk of developing severe and complex mental health concerns and multiple and complex associated psychosocial concerns.
ASHA focuses on engagement and relationship building as a means of achieving clinical outcomes, and places equal value on social inclusion, psychosocial and psychological outcomes. A multidisciplinary team consisting of both Allied Health professionals and Youth & Family workers, provide case management and therapeutic interventions to young people whose current mental health concerns have resulted in a decline in function across life domains.
Referral:
ASHA has a closed referral process. Agencies and external professionals with a Memorandum of Understanding in place can refer young people into this program. These agencies include GPs, Child Safety, CYMHS, Headspace and Youth Justice.

REMAND REDUCTION RESPONSE (RRR)
Funding: Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (incorporating the Department of Youth Justice)
RRR is an early intervention & prevention service providing diversionary activities and case management services to high risk young people aged 10-17 years in the youth justice system or at risk of remand in custody.
RRR is aimed at young people who are assessed as high or very high risk of future offending; and have multiple and complex needs.
Target outcomes include, but are not limited to, employment, increased attendance at school or training, family reunification and increased service involvement and participation.
Referral:
Young people can be referred into RRR by the police service, Youth Justice or external support services.

SAFE SPACE
Funding: Brisbane North PHN
Safe Space is an alternative to emergency departments for people experiencing emotional distress. We provides friendly and welcoming support for people of all ages within a relaxed and safe environment.
Safe Space operates from the Redcliffe Youth Space, 440 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe.
Our peer workers welcome guests and their carer or support persons to the space and talk with them about their needs. We offer refreshments, a comfortable space and a range of support.
Our aim is that our Safe Space guests leave with a sense of hope and positivity, feeling they have been heard and supported.

Referral:
Safe Space is open to all ages every day of the week and does not require a referral or a booking.
We operate from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on week days and 3:00pm – 7:00pm on weekends
WORKSKILLS PROGRAM
Funding: Department of Employment, Small Business and Training - Skilling Queenslander for Work Initiative
The Work Skills Program is offered to individuals aged 15 – 25 and run over a 6 month period.
Eligibility criteria includes:
Have completed year 10
Not currently enrolled at school
Ineligible for employment assistance
Experience significant barriers to gaining employment. Some of these barriers are may include but are not limited to:
Mental health concerns
Criminal history
Single parents or individuals with sole carer responsibilities
Practical issues such as lack of transport
Our Work Skills Program can offer:
Completion of a Certificate I in Work Skills at TAFE QLD
Hospitality experience in our coffee shop and catering business.
Retail experience in our skate and scooter shop (Ride Supplies)
Retail experience in our gaming store (Misfits United)
Administration and event experience in small and large scale events
Applications:
Applications for Traineeships are advertised via Redcliffe Area Youth Space website and social media accounts. Referrals from families and external service providers are also accepted.
People who have completed other programs within the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative are not eligible for the Work Skills Program.

YOUTH AT RISK NETWORK (YARN)
Funding: Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services
YARN is a round table style meeting with key stakeholders, where a young person and their parent/guardian are invited to sit together with a range of service providers to develop an action plan.
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month between 12:00pm and 5:00pm. Each young person is allocated a 1 hour session with the group of service providers
Referral:
Young people and families can self refer into YARN by contacting the Redcliffe Youth Space or they can be referred by external support services, local schools or the police service.

YOUTH ACCESS MORETON BAY INITIATIVE (YAMBI)
Funding: Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services
YAMBI is an early intervention & prevention program providing support to young people aged 12-21 who reside in the Redcliffe Area and are at risk of entering the youth justice system, disengaging from education, experiencing mental ill-health and/or substance misuse, and may be experiencing family issues.
YAMBI focuses on individual and family support, mentoring, and case management to
young people. Target outcomes include, but are not limited to, employment, increased attendance at school or training, family reunification and increased service involvement and participation.
Referral:
Young people and families can self-refer into YAMBI or they can be referred by external support services, schools or police.
